Some guy shot and killed 3 ppl about 8 blocks from my apartment this morning…I literally stepped outside the building from work to find the house down the street being watched over by SWAT team helicopters and trucks….and lots of rubberneckers too…..
meanwhile, also today, another woman was killed in a carjacking….
oh, and in miami, some guy ATE the face of a defenseless homeless guy….and was thankfully shot to death by police
remind me again why people want to breed?
i trimmed my hair 1.5” today, which brings it up to the middle of my back….i was SO tempted to tell her, “lets go for a pixie cut!”….but i thought, “NO, lisa, not yet, mohawk first!”……..it’ll be some time before i do that, right now i’m enjoying having girlly, long hair….since i spent the last 15 years or so with short, short hair……
this is going to be a busy weeeeekennnnd! …and i’m so excited to spend two full days with my significant other <3 two full days to do stuff …(one of those days being Cryticon!)….and then there’s the Folklife festival this weekend too which i’ll be attending on saturday….i may not care for seattle much, but at least the city livens up in the summer with all the free festivals!
and now, before bedtime i’m just going to browse lomography and stare at photos….
dita von teese is doing two shows here this week, next week, idk, but i wasn’t convinced enough to pay $40+ to see her…..i wish i did, i love her outfits………but no, sorry to my BFF, lol…..i won’t be seeing her for you……..
the U District Street Fair is today and tomorrow….and literally across the street from me….it wasn’t even 10 am and i already saw the scariest clown ever, wearing a leather vest that said “Born Free” and smoking a cigarette…..

i bought my ticket to Crypticon Seattle yesterday and i’m pretty psyched….mainly cuz this guy right here is one of the guests :-O
the restaurant i live above of is packed, people waiting outside to eat….friday to sunday it’s busy, busy, busy…
little do they know this restaurant is full of rats…..
the urge to rant….but based on my work day today, i can’t……..seattle is full of arrogant, entitled, passive aggressive elitist jerks……
having said that, i’m grateful to have met the handful **emphasis on handful** of people who are none of the above and make this city (almost) tolerable to live in…….
i can’t wait to move….

i walk in to my favorite bubble tea place (although i hate bubble tea and order anything but), Yunnie’s and the most horrid version of Cure’s ‘Lovesong’ is playing…..if i ever wanted to slowly kill a bunny by plunging my fingers into its eye sockets, that would have been the time……i’m pretty sure it was that horrid Adele person….sounded like her….imagine that, it’s horrid….
Apparently you have to talk to people in Seattle like they’re 5 year olds and really…..REALLY slow….people here are pretty dumb….
i took 2 rolls of film to get developed at Bartell’s in the U-District…one roll was from my Sprocket Rocket the other was my first roll in my new Diana Mini (so i was excited!)….he had made prints that i didn’t ask for and didn’t charge me—cool, right?….well this was two days ago and i was about to scan my neg’s today when i realized one canister had a roll of developed negs (from my Sprocket Rocket) and the other canister had a new roll of Fuji Superia film…i went back to Bartell’s to ask, “Where are my negatives?”…….they didn’t have them and so all i have are prints….and a new roll of Fuji film….i’m calling the store manager tomorrow….in the meantime, i scanned in my diana mini pics….they were shot half frame….
